Invitation to Join the ERYSL Soccer Board

The ERYSL has always thrived on the active participation and support of our community, and we believe that the involvement of parents is crucial to the continued success and growth of our league. We are currently seeking enthusiastic individuals to join our Soccer Board, a team dedicated to shaping the future of youth soccer in our community.

We are particularly interested in parents with young children who have a passion for soccer and a desire to engage in long-term community service. Your unique perspectives and insights as a parent are invaluable in helping us create a nurturing, fun, and educational environment for our young athletes.

If you are interested in becoming a member of the ERYSL Soccer Board, please email us at with a letter of interest. We would love to hear about your background, your interest in soccer, and any ideas you have for contributing to our league.

As a potential board member, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Help shape policies and programs that directly impact youth soccer.
  • Work alongside a team of passionate individuals dedicated to promoting sportsmanship, teamwork, and the love of the game.
  • Make a meaningful difference in the lives of young athletes and the broader community.

We invite you to join us for our first meeting of 2024, which will be held on Monday, February 5th at 6:30 pm at the East Rutherford Civic Center (Vreeland Ave). During this meeting, we will conduct short interviews with all interested candidates. This will be a great opportunity for you to learn more about the board's responsibilities and how you can contribute.

Your involvement can make a significant difference in the ERYSL and in the lives of our young soccer players. We look forward to the possibility of having you on our team and to the fresh ideas and energy you can bring to our league.

Thank you for considering this opportunity to contribute to our community. Please do not hesitate to reach out if you have any questions or need further information.

Warm regards,

Orville Drummond

East Rutherford Youth Soccer League Purpose

The East Rutherford Youth Soccer League (ERYSL) is all about making a difference in our community, one kick at a time! We're super excited about helping kids, both boys and girls, from Pre-Kindergarten all the way to eighth grade, become the best they can be.

Think of us as a big, fun, soccer-loving family. No matter if you're just starting out or already have some nifty footwork, there's a place for you here. We're all about making sure everyone gets to enjoy soccer and learn some cool skills.

But it's not just about the game. At ERYSL, we make sure everyone feels safe, supported, and positive, because we believe that's how you really grow, both on the field and off it.

We think soccer is also a great way to learn some pretty important life lessons. Like how to play fair, be a good sport, and respect each other. That's what we're all about. And, you know what? We believe these lessons go beyond the soccer field and make us better friends, students, and community members.

At ERYSL, we're not just about playing soccer - we're about making our community better, too. That's why we encourage everyone to get involved and help out. After all, a good citizen is like a good team player – always ready to lend a hand and do their part.

So, why not lace up your boots and join us? Be part of our ERYSL family. We're sure that together, we can make great things happen, on and off the soccer field. Let's kick some goals for our future!
